Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.?????????????????????The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Police?Traffic?Services?Grant Agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation, Division of Highway Safety for the receipt of grant monies in the amount of ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND NINETY-ONE CENTS ($174,468.91). With this grant, the City's Bureau of Police will fund enforcement of violations through sobriety checkpoints, roving DUI patrols and conduct outreach activities designed to raise public awareness of drunk and impaired driving. The grant will also cover enforcement activities for Aggressive Driving, Occupant Protection and Pedestrian Safety. In addition, funds are provided for Travel and Training for Impaired Driving Education, equipment and supplies needed to support these activities. The Police?Traffic?Services?Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the following account: 2329400401.45505.00.
