Resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure to receive grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Multimodal Transportation Fund for the construction of the Sylvan Avenue non-motorized trail in the amount of ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY FOUR ($1,763,824.00) dollars, and authorizing expenditures for this stated purpose.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure are authorized to receive grant funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Multimodal Transportation Fund for the construction of the Sylvan Avenue non-motorized trail in the amount of ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY FOUR ($1,763,824.00) dollars. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund 6029400386.45505.00
Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure are further authorized to enter into Agreements, or Contracts, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts, for expenditures not to exceed ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY FOUR ($1,763,824.00) dollars for the construction of the Sylvan Avenue non-motorized trail under the terms of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, chargeable to and payable from the appropriate expenditure line in the Grants Trust Fund account 6029400386.
Section 3. The local match of $529,147.00 shall come from the 2023 Capital Budget (JDE job number 6059050123) for a total project cost of TWO MILLION TWO HUNDRED NINETY TWO THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY ONE ($2,292,971.00) dollars.
