Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Safety to execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency to receive grant funding from the US Department of Justice’s Emergency Federal Law Enforcement Assistance Grant Program to mitigate costs incurred in summer and fall 2020 by the City’s law enforcement response while under a disaster emergency declaration.

 

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency to receive funding from the Emergency Federal Law Enforcement Assistance Grant Program in the amount of ONE MILLION FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN DOLLARS AND FIFTY NINE CENTS ($1,423,567.59) to mitigate costs incurred in summer and fall 2020 by the City’s law enforcement response while under a disaster emergency declaration. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Operating Fund account 11101.230000.45509.
