Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the City Solicitor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a professional services agreement with Cohen Law Group to address a matter of pending telecommunications and cable regulatory litigation at an amount not to exceed twenty-nine thousand dollars ($29,000).

WHEREAS, the City wishes to participate in appeals of certain orders of the Federal Communications Commission that could adversely impact the City’s telecommunications and cable operations and regulation; and
WHEREAS, this appeal represents a matter of pending litigation and Cohen Law Group is qualified to complete the specialized work necessary for the appeal; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an agreement with Cohen Law Group to commission the City’s appeals to this timely matter of federal telecommunications and cable regulation litigation.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the City Solicitor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with Cohen Law Group to address a matter of pending telecommunications and cable regulatory litigation at an amount not to exceed twenty-nine thousand dollars ($29,000) appropriated from the following code account: 11101.108000.53.53517.2020.
