Title

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreements with the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation in order to receive a grant award in the amount FOUR HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY NINE ($410,539.00) dollars for the purpose of providing operational support for DOMI to build upon existing autonomous vehicle (AV) testing and a planned autonomous deployment by expanding public and neighborhood engagement efforts regarding how AVs are deployed and managed  in the City of Pittsburgh.  Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 6029400274.48311.00.

Section 2.  The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure  (DOMI) of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into Agreements, or Contracts, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts and not to exceed FOUR HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY NINE ($410,539.00) dollars for the purposes of providing operational support for DOMI to build upon existing autonomous vehicle (AV) testing and a planned autonomous deployment by expanding public and neighborhood engagement efforts regarding how AVs are deployed and managed under the terms of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund account 6029400274.50000.00.
