Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Finance and the Controller to reimburse the three pension funds each month for monthly payments not to exceed of $350 to widows of members of the Fire, Municipal and Police Pension Funds, who were not listed as survivors by their spouse.
Body
WHEREAS, Resolution 1008 of 1996 provided that the City issue monthly payments of $250 to widows of the Fire, Municipal and Police Pension Funds who were receiving $200 per month.
WHERAS, the City has been issuing monthly payments of $350 to widows through the three pension funds since 2001.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1.  The Director of Finance and the Controller are hereby authorized and directed to reimburse the three pension funds each month for monthly payments not to exceed of $350 to widows of members of the Fire, Municipal and Police Pension Funds, who were not listed as survivors by their spouse. The total annual cost is not to exceed ninety two thousand four hundred dollars ($92,400). Payment shall be made from the General Fund, JDE 11101.107.000.52407.
Finally, that any Ordinance or Resolution or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution, is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
