Resolution that the Mayor and the Director of City Planning, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Keenan Saiz to aid in the research and project management of the City of Pittsburgh’s Equity Audit of public art and memorials, at a cost not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00).

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh is conducting an Equity Audit to identify inequity and bias within the City's permanent collection of public art, monuments, memorials, and historic objects; and
WHEREAS, this program includes research and analysis of over 160 individual works in the public realm; and
WHEREAS, Phase 1 of this program identified the need for a dedicated researcher to create the City process and conduct the full collection review; and
WHEREAS, on January 11, 2023, the Office of Management and Budget released a Request for Proposals to solicit a qualified professional with a background in research and project management to aid in this audit; and
WHEREAS, a selection committee chose Keenan Saiz as the most qualified candidate; and
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of City Planning, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Keenan Saiz to aid in the research and project management of the City of Pittsburgh’s Equity Audit of public art and memorials, at a cost not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00), and payable from fund 40120, JDE account 1174300120.50000.00.
Section 2. The form of this Agreement shall be approved by the City Solicitor.
