Resolution granting a vacation of an unopened, 10ft unnamed way, situate in the 19th Ward, 2nd Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, at no cost to the City.

WHEREAS, GRANDVIEW COMMONS LP, at no cost to the City, has requested this vacation, in order to consolidate their property on Augusta Street (6-G-51). 

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     ALL that certain lot or piece of ground situate in the 19th Ward City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being the unopen 10ft unnamed way.  Said lot, piece or ground being further described as follows to wit:

 

BEGINNING at an intersecting point along the 40 foot right-of-way along August Street and the lands N/F Grandview Commons LP, N 36°27'03" E, along said right-of-way, for a distance 10.00 feet to a point; Thence, leaving said right-of-way N 53°32'40" W for a distance of 105.42 feet to a point; Thence, S 36°27'20" W for a distance of 11.34 feet to a point at the lands N/F City of Pittsburgh; Thence, S 12°39'04" E for a distance of 13.23 feet to a point at the lands N/F Grandview Commons LP; Thence, N 81 °26'40" E for a distance of 14.14 feet to a point; Thence, S 53°32'40" E for a distance of 85.42 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

 

Containing an area of 1,160 square feet.

 

Section 2.                     Since this portion is presently unopened and unused for street or pedestrian purposes and the City has no intention to open this right-of-way, the Finance Department in line with Law Department policy, places no price or charge for this vacation.

 

Section 3.                     That, GRANDVIEW COMMONS LP, shall within one (1) year after the effective date of this resolution, must record this vacation with the Allegheny County Department of Real Estate.
