• Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend the Rosamond C. Kay Jr. Family for their commitment to remain as a pillar in the community, and more importantly as a indispensable force within the City of Pittsburgh; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does herby proclaim Sunday, November 6, 2011 as the "Annual Rosamond C. Kay Jr. Dinner" day in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the annual Rosamond C. Kay Jr. Dinner was created to honor and recognize dedicated disciples within our church communities, as well as, church leaders, officers, and Sunday school participants; and

WHEREAS, the selected scripture for this year's dinner is, "Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." James 1:2; and

WHEREAS, the Annual Rosamond C. Kay Jr. Dinner will be held on Sunday, November 6^th, 2011, at 4:00 p.m., at the Pittsburgh/Greentree Radisson Hotel; and

WHEREAS, the guest preacher will be Rev. Floyd Palmer, Pastor

Shiloh Baptist Church.  A $500 scholarship will be awarded by the Kay family to a deserving youth.
