Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate the REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh on its 100th year of service to Pittsburgh, wishing the association many more years of service to the city.

WHEREAS, the REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh (RAMP) will celebrate 100 years of service to the City of Pittsburgh this fall; and,
WHEREAS, RAMP serves both real estate professionals and the community, with its original mission aiming “to create a closer bond and to improve conditions of the real estate business by united action directed to the common goal” and “guide members in an ever improving ethical conduct of business and advance the dignity and calling of the profession,” expounded by the current mission which aims “to be the local voice of real estate, protect private property rights, and enhance their members' ability to conduct business professionally and ethically”; and,
WHEREAS, since it was chartered in 1911, RAMP has grown to one of the largest local REALTOR® associations in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with over 2,000 members, and through the association, REALTORS® work with the Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission and the Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers in the enforcement of their regulations, enabling these members to transact business to the advantage and protection of the public and members, and promote and maintain high standards of conduct; and,
WHEREAS, members of the REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh are dedicated professionals who advance civil development and economic growth in southwestern Pennsylvania, protect private property rights, work for economy and efficiency in government, and volunteer their time to a variety of charitable organizations; and,
WHEREAS, RAMP has been a leader in public policy and member advocacy, providing its members with the tools they need to do business successfully and ethically, through the use of full-time government affairs and education programs, uniquely positioning RAMP to provide its members with the tools they need to do business by delivering a five-part benefit package to its members: Government advocacy, top-quality career education, pr...
