WHEREAS, the Women's Committee of the Carnegie Museum of Art is a non-profit organization that works to foster the arts in Pittsburgh; and

WHEREAS, founded in 1957, the mission of the Women's Committee of the Carnegie Museum of Art is to promote the cultural and educational value of the Museum throughout the community; and

WHEREAS, the Committee has raised and contributed over $1 million to aid in the renovation and restoration of Museum facilities to ensure their accessibility to all.
