Body
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to execute and file an application for federal assistance, certifications, assurances and related necessary or appropriate documents required by the U.S. Department of Transportation ("DOT") Federal Railroad Administration ("FRA") for a $5,000,000 $1,044,869.00 Rail Line Relocation and Improvement Project Capital Grant for the planning, engineering and construction of rail improvements to the Allegheny Valley Railroad rail line to support passenger rail service and the establishment of the Allegheny Riverfront Green Boulevard.
 
Section 2.      Upon approval by DOT and/or FRA of the application, the Mayor, on behalf of the City, is authorized to execute a grant agreement and any other necessary or appropriate documents required by DOT and/or FRA in connection with the Rail Line Relocation and Improvement Project Capital Grant, which agreements shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
 
Section 3.      Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh is hereby designated as the City's agent for administration of the Rail Line Relocation and Improvement Project Capital Grant.
