Title
Resolution authorizing a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA"), providing for a transfer of $150,000 in Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development ("DCED") grant funds to the URA for the administrative and operating costs of the Storefront Renovation Program.  (Council Districts:  All)
 
Body
Whereas, pursuant to Resolution No. 487 of 2008 and Resolution No. 782 of  2009, the City filed Single Applications for Assistance for grants in the amount of $625,000.00 and $200,000 respectively with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development ("DCED") for streetscape improvements for the Taking Care of Business District Program; and
 
Whereas, the budget for the grants, approved by DCED, includes $150,000.00 allocated for the Storefront Renovation Program, administered by the URA; and
 
Whereas, the URA and the City wish to enter into a Cooperation Agreement in the amount of $150,000.00 specifically setting forth the terms and conditions for the URA to expend $150,000 of the said DCED grant funds the Storefront Renovation Program;
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements, in form approved by the City Solicitor, with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") transferring the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) in DCED grant money to be used for the administrative and operating costs for the Storefront Renovation Program, chargeable to and payable from the following accounts:

$100,000 from Account 500000, Fund 2940, Org 400000, Project PR10023, Budget Year 2008 Sub 600
 
$50,000 from Account 500000, Fund 2940, Org 400000 102000, Project PR10033, Budget Year 2009 Sub 600
