WHEREAS, the Warble family of Carrick has made great contributions to the South Pittsburgh community through music, volunteering, and academic performance; and
WHEREAS, the Warbles have honored fallen veterans by playing taps and Amazing Grace at Memorial Day events and veterans' funerals across South Pittsburgh since 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Warble siblings have all dedicated time to community service projects through the Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts, the Carrick Food Pantry, and St. Basil Parish in Carrick; and
WHEREAS, the Warble siblings all graduated from Carrick High School, where they were involved in a great number of band ensembles and academic activities; and
WHEREAS, Adam and Andrew Warble graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, and Adam Warble is now a music teacher for the Pittsburgh Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, Alexandra Warble is a current student of the University of Pittsburgh, where she is studying Pre-Pharmacy and is a member of the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band, the University of Pittsburgh Pep Band, and the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Service Fraternity; and
WHEREAS, April Warble, the youngest Warble sibling, recently graduated from Carrick High School, where she was involved with the Marching Band, Concert Band, Bagpipe Band, Steel Drum Band, many dramatic and musical productions, and several choirs; and
WHEREAS, April Warble will be joining Alexandra at the University of Pittsburgh this fall, where she plans to be involved in the band; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh commends the Warble family for their dedication to service, music, and community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Pittsburgh City Council declares July 26th Warble Family Day in the City of Pittsburgh.
