Title
Resolution providing for the letting, for and during the calendar year 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 of contracts and for the use of existing contracts for professional services including planning, architectural, engineering, and real estate services as well as construction administration, management and inspection services related to the assessment, design, construction, and maintenance of the city's infrastructure, buildings and lands as needed by the various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, and for any miscellaneous related engineering and construction services in and for any or all Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, and providing for the payment of the costs thereof.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Director of the Department of Public Works of the City of Pittsburgh is hereby authorized to invite proposals and to award a contract or contracts for professional services including planning, architectural, engineering, and real estate services as well as construction administration, management and inspection services related to the assessment, design, construction and maintenance of the city's infrastructure, buildings and lands, or any other properties in the custody of the various Departments owned and controlled by the City of Pittsburgh, and for any miscellaneous related engineering and construction services in and for any or all Departments of the City of Pittsburgh; whose estimated cost will be in excess of $10,000 and. to purchase, without advertisement, such services as listed above whose estimated costs will be less than $10,000 as required by various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh, all in accordance with the laws and ordinances governing said City. The City of Pittsburgh shall have the right to terminate contracts in the event funds are not appropriated for the continuation of applicable contracts in any succeeding calendar year.
Section 2. The costs thereof shall and are hereby made payable from funds appropriated. Therefore, the various Departments of the City of Pittsburgh and the Mayor are hereby authorized to issue and the City Controller to countersign, warrants on said funds in payment thereof.
Section 3. The City of Pittsburgh's Office of the City Clerk shall be copied on all letters of authorization issued pursuant to the Department of Public Work's on-call architectural/engineering and related design services contracts.
Finally, that any Ordinance or Resolution or part thereof, conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution, is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
