Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate Suzanne Williams Broadhurst, winner of the Pittsburgh Area Jewish Committee's 2011 Community Impact Award; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare June 1, 2011 "Suzanne Williams Broadhurst Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Area Jewish Committee's Community Impact Award has, for thirty years, honored Western Pennsylvanians whose work has fostered community and reached across ethnic and religious lines to better the lives of the people of our region; and
WHEREAS, Suzanne "Suzy" Williams Broadhurst is this year's Pittsburgh Area Jewish Committee Community Impact Award winner; and
WHEREAS, Suzy is a tireless public servant, devoting countless hours to nonprofit organizations throughout the City of Pittsburgh and the region; and
WHEREAS, Suzy currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at the University of Pittsburgh and serves on the Board of Directors of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Phipps Conservatory, and others; and
WHEREAS, Suzy is currently the Director of Corporate Giving at Eat'n Park Hospitality Group and in her role there has helped to provide invaluable financial support as well as the gifts of time and talent to local museums, hospitals, food banks, shelters, and libraries; and
WHEREAS, Suzy is a native of Monessen, PA and a graduate of Penn State University.  She and her husband Jim have three sons and five grandchildren.
