WHEREAS, the Health and Wellness Ministry of the Sixth Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church is a ministry that believes health absolutely promotes growth towards the well-being of the body, mind, and spirit; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the Health and Wellness Ministry is to promote holistic health through education, referrals, advocacy and consultation; to make these services available to all age levels of the congregation; and
WHEREAS, the spearheading scripture of the Health and Wellness Ministry is "Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth." 3 John 2, KJV; and
WHEREAS, the Health and Wellness Ministry is hosting a Health Fair April 23, 2011, from 8:30am to 3:00pm for church members and residents of the neighboring communities; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend the Health and Wellness Ministry of the Sixth Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church for their efforts to enhance the quality of life for others as they empower communities; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, does hereby proclaim April 28, 2011, as "Health and Wellness Ministry Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
