Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Schuler's Service Center for 40 years of outstanding service, not only for the residents of Sheraden but for all the residents in the West Side of Pittsburgh ; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 5, 2011, to be “Schuler's Service Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Schuler's Service Center began their family owned and operated business in the Sheraden section of the City of Pittsburgh on April 5, 1971; and,
 
WHEREAS, 40 years later, Schuler's is a recognizable institution in the surrounding communities thanks to the hard work and success of family members: Raymond (Sam), Ronald (Butch), Paul (Gypsy), Robert (Bob), Michael, and Joseph; and,
 
WHEREAS, the first customer, Mr. Thompson, who was a resident of Chartiers Avenue, came to the shop in need of a battery charge and since then Schuler's Service Center continues to provide quality service and repairs with customer satisfaction being their top priority; and,
 
WHEREAS, with the economy as it is today, the success and strength of this small business is inspiring and should be an example for all the businesses in the City of Pittsburgh, illustrating that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible ; and,
