The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Pittsburgh Code, Title Six Conduct, Article I Regulated Rights and Actions, Chapter 619, Refuse Collection and Recycling, Section 619.01, Definitions, by adding subsection (hh), Residential Structure as follows:
 
 
§ 619.01 DEFINITIONS
 
Residential Structure: A structure used or designed to be used primarily for residential occupancy purposes and in which more than half of the floor space is used for residential occupancy purposes. A residential structure may be, but need not be, within an area zoned as a residential district. The term does not include nursing homes, hotels and motels.
 
 
Section 2.  The Pittsburgh Code, Title Six Conduct, Article I Regulated Rights and Actions, Chapter 619, Refuse Collection and Recycling, by amending Section 619.18, Refuse Collection Times in Residential Zones, Subsection (a) as follows:
 
 
§ 619.18 REFUSE COLLECTION TIMES IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES
 
(a) No person shall operate any trash, rubbish, garbage, or recycling collection activities within any residentially zoned district, or within 1,000 feet of any residentially zoned district or within 300 feet of a residential structure between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
