WHEREAS, Schell Games is a full-service game design and development studio that specializes in creating innovative interactive experiences and is head-quartered on the City's South Side; and

WHEREAS, CEO Jesse Schell, a former creative director at Disney Imagineering Virtual Reality Studio, and a faculty member of CMU's Entertainment Technology Center, founded the company in 2002; and

WHEREAS, Schell Games focuses on creating memorable experiences through online games and social games, interactive theme park attractions, console and handheld games, internet-enabled toys, and virtual worlds; and

WHEREAS, some of the most popular rides in theme parks around the world have brought attention and praise for the Schell Games team and their ability to think outside the box in game design and development of any platform; and

WHEREAS, their 3-D Toy Story Mania TV Game, based on the popular Walt Disney ride of the same name was named by TIME Magazine as "Fourth Best Toy of the Year".
