WHEREAS, on January 21, 2011, Attack Theatre will begins its 15th anniversary season with the performance of Attack Theatre presents Show #58 at the New Hazlett Theater; and
WHEREAS, Attack Theatre presents Show #58 will feature Trapped, R.A.M.- random.accumulated.memories; Typeset, and Beginnings; and
WHEREAS, Attack Theater was founded in 1994 by artistic directors Michele de la Reza and Peter Kope; and
WHEREAS, the mission of Attack Theatre is to create community with artists and audiences through the process and production of personal, accessible, collaborative dance based performance; and
WHEREAS, Attack Theatre strives to interact with the community through education programs, performances, workshops and residencies that combine contemporary dance, creative movement and aesthetic education at locations including universities, primary and secondary schools, arts festivals and community centers; and
WHEREAS, Attack Theatre has performed in Switzerland, Japan, Germany, France, Monaco, Indonesia and Turkey; and
WHEREAS, Attack Theatre has presented over 100 performances of original work to more than 300,000 audience members.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the 15th anniversary season of Attack Theatre and thanks the company for providing opportunities to experience innovative dance performance; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare January 21, 2011 "Attack Theatre Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
