Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend the South Brook Titans Boys Volleyball Team for their drive, energy, and teamwork, and congratulates them on their achievements as the and 2009 and 2010 City Champions in the City of Pittsburgh. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Pittsburgh does hereby proclaim Tuesday, December 7, 2010 “South Brook Titans Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, in the 2010 playoffs, the South Brook Titans Boys Volleyball Team defeated Pittsburgh Obama 2 matches to 0; and
WHEREAS, the South Brook Titans Boys Volleyball Team went on to the City Championship to defeat Pittsburgh Arsenal 2 matches to 0; and
 
WHEREAS, the South Brook Titans Boys Volleyball Team has won their 2nd consecutive City Championship in 2010; and
 
WHEREAS, the 2010 South Brook Titans Boys Volleyball Team consists of 8th graders Grant Walsh-Captain, Garrett Walsh, Terron Hampton, Tereeq Smith, Charles Stockhausen, Charles Thomas, Josh Kohut, Austin Lewis, and Javon Kinds; 7th graders Dylan Huff, and Patrick Keating; and 6th grader Phillip Bacinski; and
 
WHEREAS, the adults who motivated these young men to excel are Coach Matthew Milanak, supported by Athletic Director Michael McGuire and Principal Gina Reichert; and
