Title: Resolution authorizing and directing the City Controller to create a special trust fund, to be designated as the Emergency Medical Services Hazardous Materials Trust Fund (EMSHMTF), for the deposit of funds received from Allegheny County (LEPC) and income generated as a result of direct billing of responsible parties as recoverable for hazardous materials responses. Title

Body
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      That the City Controller is hereby authorized and directed to create a trust fund entitled   "Emergency Medical Services Hazardous Materials Trust Fund" into which shall be deposited funds paid to the City from Allegheny County (LEPC) and/or income generated as a result of direct billing of responsible parties as recoverable for hazardous materials responses, for the purpose of purchase of equipment, supplies, training and unrecoverable hazardous material clean up cost.
 
Section 2.      The Trust Fund shall be established within the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, set forth in the City of Pittsburgh's annual budget and may only be expended through the regular contracting process or other expenditures as set forth in the city.
 
Section 3.      Any proceeds received by the City from Allegheny County (LEPC) and/or income generated as a result of direct billing of responsible parties as recoverable for hazardous materials responses, shall be transferred to this Trust Fund.
