Title: Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby approves the location of the corner of Kirkpatrick Street & Bentley Drive for Prevention Point Pittsburgh to operate a mobile Needle Exchange Program.

Body
Whereas, pursuant to Ordinance 04-08-OR, the Council of Allegheny County adopted and approved Article II, Allegheny County Health Department Rules and Regulations pertaining to Needle Exchange Programs for Communicable Disease Prevention and Providing Drug Treatment Opportunities (the "Rules and Regulations"); and,
 
Whereas, Section 205 D of the Rules and Regulations states that, "No Needle Exchange Program shall operate in any location until the address of the Program Location is specifically approved by the Board of Health and the proposed sites' municipality through legislative action," and,
 
Whereas, Prevention Point Pittsburgh is a non-profit organization seeking to run a Needle Exchange Program from a mobile van at the corner of Kirkpatrick Street & Bentley Drive, which is located in the Hill District of the City of Pittsburgh; and,
 
Whereas, as a pre-requisite for Prevention Point Pittsburgh to obtain Allegheny County Health Department approval for such location, City Council must first approve this location for the operation of this Needle Exchange Program; and,

Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby approves the location of the corner of Kirkpatrick Street & Bentley Drive for Prevention Point Pittsburgh to operate a mobile Needle Exchange Program.
