Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh wishes the LeMont continued success and commends Mr. Dunlap for his patience and hard work as he emerged to be one of the area's leading restaurateurs, and for his valued work in the community; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, November 16, 2010, to be “Ed Dunlap Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Mr. Ed Dunlap, Chairman and CEO of Centimark Corporation, purchased the LeMont Restaurant located in Mount Washington in 1999 from the late James Blandi who opened the LeMont in 1959; and,
 
WHEREAS, the LeMont Restaurant celebrated its 50th Anniversary on June 6, 2010 and Mr. Dunlap credits his staff for the LeMont remaining so popular; and,
WHEREAS, the LeMont is the only restaurant in Pittsburgh to receive the Four Diamond Award from the American Automobile Association (AAA) which is considered to be the award of all awards, the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence which puts the LeMont in a special group that offers its customers the finest wine selection in the world, and the prestigious Five Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences which makes them the only Five Star Diamond Restaurant in the Pittsburgh area and one of only 650 throughout the world; and,
 
WHEREAS, the LeMont has been and continues to be a favorite venue for weddings, private parties, business meetings and banquets due to its superb cuisine and unsurpassed panoramic view of the city; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Dunlap's desire to please the customer goes beyond his restaurants and into the community where he hosted a fundraiser to open Ream Pool in Mount Washington held at Olympia Park in which he donated the majority of the food; and,
