Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Carnegie Mellon University to research design schematics for urban street lighting that will assist the City with retrofitting streetlights in business districts to more energy efficient models.

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.  The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works are authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Carnegie Mellon University to research design schematics for urban street lighting that will assist the City with retrofitting streetlights in business districts to more energy efficient models.  The fee for such services shall not exceed Fifty-One Thousand Dollars ($51,000.00).  

Such amounts shall be payable from the following:

The Agreement shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
