Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby remember the life of Jeron Xavier Grayson and mourns the tragic loss of a life taken before its time.

WHEREAS, Jeron Xavier Grayson, affectionately known as "Lil G" by family and friends, was the third child to Reverend Glenn G. and Attorney Marsha Grayson, born April 27, 1992 and departing this worldly life on October 17, 2010; and,
 
WHEREAS, Jeron was part of the 2010 graduating class of Schenley High School in Pittsburgh, PA, from where he matriculated to Hampton University to begin a course of study in August with the professed dream of becoming an architect; and,
 
WHEREAS, Jeron was an outstanding sportsman, a well rounded athlete in football, basketball, swimming and track and field who received the award of Most Valuable Player as part of the victorious Schenley Spartans championship football team of 2009; and,
 
WHEREAS, his talents and gifts went beyond the world of competitive sports, as attested by those close to him who portray an empathetic, caring individual that displayed a genuine, unselfish desire to work for the improvement and benefit of his community, to continue and expand upon the charitable work of his father, the Reverend Glenn Grayson;
