Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Directors of the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Public Works to enter into a Project and License Agreement with the Northside Leadership Conference to provide improvements to the Northeast Commons (Segment 1) of Allegheny Commons Park.
Body
Whereas, the Northside Leadership Conference ("NSLC") has offered to provide renovations for City's Allegheny Commons Park (the "Park"); and
Whereas, the NSLC has received funds from private sources and from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and desires to spend such funds by making improvements to the Northeast Commons (Segment 1) in the Park (the "Project"); and
Whereas, NSLC has received conceptual approval for the Project from the City's Art Commission and preliminary approval from the Historic Review Commission; and
Whereas, the parties now wish to set forth their understanding of the duties and responsibilities pertaining to this Project in a Project and License Agreement.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Directors of the Department of Parks and Recreation and Public Works are hereby authorized to enter into a Project and License Agreement with the PPC pursuant to which the PPC will provide improvements to the Northeast Commons (Segment 1) of Allegheny Commons Park. The form and substance of the Project and License Agreement shall be subject to the approval of the City Solicitor.
