WHEREAS, the Citizens Police Review Board was adopted by referendum on May 20, 1997 to ensure that the residents of the City of Pittsburgh had an independent system for the investigation and disposition of complaints alleging police misconduct; and

WHEREAS, the composition is comprised of Mayoral and Council appointments; and

WHEREAS, there currently exists four (4) expired Council appointments on the CPRB Board;
