Resolution amending Resolution 106 of 2020, which authorized the creation of the Crossing Guards Special Events Trust Fund, to rename the fund and update its allowable uses for consistency with other such funds within the Department of Public Safety, at no cost to the City.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Resolution 106 of 2020, entitled "Resolution authorizing and directing the City Controller to create a special trust fund, to be designated as the "Crossing Guards Special Events Trust Fund," for the deposit of monies from crossing guards special events cost recovery, and authorizing the use of monies deposited therein by the Department of Public Safety to cover premium pay reimbursement for crossing guard personnel and administrative costs related to the aforementioned activities," is hereby amended as follows:
Section 1. The City Controller is authorized and directed to create a special trust fund, at no cost to the City, to be designated as the Crossing Guards Secondary Employment Trust Fund with JD Edwards job number 2100240840, into which any and all monies collected from Crossing Guard Details, Secondary Employment, Special Events cost recovery, and any and all administrative charges associated with the administration and implementation of programs that require the provision of Crossing Guard services on a premium pay basis. All reimbursements for Crossing Guard Premium Pay Details shall be deposited by the Department of Public Safety in a manner prescribed by the Director of Finance into said trust fund.
Section 2. Reimbursements to Crossing Guards for Details, Secondary Employment, and/or Special Events, including pay and related taxes paid by the employer, may be paid directly from this trust fund or via a different City funding source.
