Resolution authorizing the Mayor, the Director of the Department of Human Resources, and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the County of Allegheny to support children, youth, and family programs administered by the Department of Human Services, at a cost not to exceed Four Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,200,000.00) for a one-year pilot agreement.

WHEREAS, the Allegheny County Department of Human Services (“ACDHS”) administers funding to programs serving children under 18 as well as youth ages 18-23 in the City of Pittsburgh; and
WHEREAS, the City and ACDHS wish to collaborate to best support programs serving children, youth, and families in the City of Pittsburgh, including but not limited to the Learn and Earn program and other Parks and Recreation programs; and
WHEREAS, the City to pay funds to the County to be used as local share on state funds for children and youth programs; NOW THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Human Resources, and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the County of Allegheny to support children and youth programs administered by the Department of Human Services, at a cost not to exceed Four Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,200,000.00) for a one-year pilot agreement.
Funds shall be paid from the following accounts, subject to appropriation by City Council in future budget years:
$1,200,000.00 from 11101.109000.58.58102.2025
$3,000,000.00 from 11101.500000.58.58101.2025
Section 2. Any funds remitted by the County to the City shall be deposited to the General Fund account 11101.500000.45.45115.
Section 3. Said Agreement or Agreements shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
