WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Award is the highest advancement rank in Scouting and is a performance-based achievement whereby the Boy Scout must fulfill requirements in the areas of responsibility, leadership, service and outdoor skills; and,
WHEREAS, Christopher G. Mildner, son of George and Lynn Mildner, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout on June 13, 2010; and,
WHEREAS, to obtain Eagle Scout, Christopher completed a landscaping project at Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church which involved researching plants and shrubs and managing a group of volunteers who planted flowers and shrubs and spread top soil, mulch and planted grass accumulating over 132 hours of service work; and,
WHEREAS, Christopher was Cub Scout for five years and graduated to Boy Scout where he spent 6 years and currently is a Scout in Boy Scout Troop 831 in Carnegie, Greater Pittsburgh Council where he has been for 11 years and has held leadership positions of Den Chief, Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader; and,
WHEREAS, Christopher is also a member of the Order of the Arrow
which is the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America with a goal of encouraging continued participation in Scouting and camping; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Eagle Scout Christopher G. Mildner on his recent accomplishment for his outstanding achievement of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, June 22, 2010, to be "Christopher Mildner Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
