Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Pittsburgh City Code, Title One, Administrative, Chapter 152, is hereby supplemented by adding Section 152.02, Special Meetings with Registered Community Groups to present needs pursuant to the Capital Improvement Plan and the Capital Budget.
CHAPTER 152: REGULAR AND SPECIAL MEETINGS
ยง 152.02 SPECIAL MEETINGS WITH REGISTERED COMMUNITY GROUPS TO PRESENT NEEDS PURSUANT TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND THE CAPITAL BUDGET
(a) Legislative intent. The purpose of these meetings is to grant to community groups and neighborhood associations who have community plans on file with or who are registered community organizations and neighborhood associations with the Department of City Planning the opportunity to address City Council with community needs and concerns and to present their requests for Capital funds for projects to stabilize, develop and redevelop communities.
(b) Council to hold televised public meetings. In the months of June and July, Council shall hold no fewer than 6 meetings to afford registered community groups as defined in (a) to present their needs to Council.
(c) Clerk to schedule meetings. Community groups wishing to present to Council shall have their requests, along with copies of their Community Plans and summary requests submitted to the Clerk by May 15. The Clerk shall them schedule the meetings.
