Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into an intergovernmental cooperation agreement with Pittsburgh Regional Transit (“PRT”) for assistance with construction of a new bus shelter within the public right-of-way of Penn Avenue near the intersection of North Saint Clair Street in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, PRT and the City’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure seek to facilitate creation of a new bus shelter in the City located in the vicinity of Penn Avenue and North Saint Clair Street; and

 

WHEREAS, PRT will provide a portion of the installation work through available grant funding while City will provide for additional shelter installation work as well as maintenance thereafter; and

 

WHEREAS, PRT and the City wish to enter into an intergovernmental cooperation agreement to memorialize this cooperative endeavor.

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an intergovernmental cooperation agreement with Pittsburgh Regional Transit (“PRT”) for assistance with construction of a new bus shelter within the public right-of-way of Penn Avenue near the intersection of North Saint Clair Street in the City of Pittsburgh.

 

Section 2.                     Such agreement shall be approved as to form by the City Solicitor consistent with the form of intergovernmental cooperation agreements pursuant to applicable law and the term of such agreement shall be for the duration of the project work.
