Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director Parks and Recreation to enter into a Financial Sponsorship Agreement with Sargent Electric for the City of Pittsburgh Independence Day Festival (the “Festival”) at no cost to the City.

WHEREAS, each July, the Office of Special Events presents the City of Pittsburgh Independence Day Festival, an annual festival in Point State Park which celebrates our Nation’s history and independence, which attracts guests from around the region and tri-state area; and
WHEREAS, Sargent Electric desires to provide the City with financial sponsorship support of Six Thousand Dollars for the Festival and designated associated activities; and the parties wish to enter into a Sponsorship Agreement for the year 2024.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Parks and Recreation are authorized to enter into a Financial Sponsorship Agreement with Sargent Electric for the City of Pittsburgh Independence Day Festival and designated associated activities. The Sponsorship Terms will provide a total value of $6,000.00 to the City to support the Independence Day Festival. All monies from the aforementioned sponsorships will be deposited into the following account: JDE 5000731400.48106.00.
