Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate the City Championship Schenley High School Boy's Swim Team for the work they do on behalf of their pure love for the sport of swimming, and we wish them the best of luck in their future life endeavors.

WHEREAS, the Schenley High School Boy's Swim Team won the City Championship held at The University of Pittsburgh on March 6th, 2010,   the third such victory for the Boy's Swim team in the school's history with a final outcome of 399 for Schenley, 319 for Allderdice, 146 for Brashear, 43 for Perry, 39 for Carrick, 22 for City High, and 21 for Langley; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Taylor Allderdice High School Boy's Swim Team had consistently won the City Championship for the past 10 years with no team able to break their winning streak until this year, with the City Championship Schenley Swim Team members composed of: Jonah Raether, Ben Junker, Demitri Lardas, Lewis Pell, Nathaniel Rabuzzi, Matthew Lampl, Forrest Paul, Erik Rauterkus, Zack Goodall, Isaac Foster-Friedman, James Melnyk, Christopher Thyberg, Martin Eddy Harvey, Daniel Meitzer, Jan Raether, Tobias Raether, Max Okabayaski, Lewis Thompson, Coach George Gasparovic and Coach Mark Rauterkus; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh honors young athletes who excel in their respective sport and in their academics, as we encourage youth to take action and work hard to better themselves both academically and scholastically;
