WHEREAS, we recognize Brashear High School senior Jonathan Hanna who claimed his fourth City League championship Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Carrick; and,
WHEREAS, In addition to his fourth City League championship, Jonathan Hanna placed in the Steve DeAugustino Holiday Classic in the years '06, '07, '08 and '09; was a place winner in the Allegheny County Championships in '09 and 2010, he was Team Captain in the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons and was named City League Outstanding Senior Wrestler in 2010 ; and,
WHEREAS, Jonathan Hanna's career record is 88-39 he is the fourth wrestler in the 21-year history of the City League tournament to win four championships and the first from Brashear High School; and,
WHEREAS, In addition to his wrestling career, Jonathan Hanna is a high honor roll student and is involved in a community services activity called C.H.A.N.G.E.S sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh and the Collegiate YMCA; and,
WHEREAS, Jonathan enjoys playing guitar and recording music with his band, plays deck hockey and enjoys hanging out with friends; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hanna plans on attending Pennsylvania State University possibly for business or medicine; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate Jonathan Hanna for his accomplishments in the sport of wrestling and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 27, 2010, to be "Jonathan Hanna Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
