Title: Now, Therefore, be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend: Lois Boehm Mary Ann Dugan Mary Gedeon Shirley Gedman Frances Hess Kay Holzworth Ray Kramer Elizabeth Kuader Mathilda Lopisnki Ruth Mandrier Ida Popko Cecelia Regec Ron Tuttle Florence Walsh Josephine Whipkey Mary Wittmer Carol Zeybel Ralph Siller and Elder-Ado Inc., for their tireless work to better lives of our City's seniors.

WHEREAS, Elder-Ado Incorporated is a premier, private, non-profit, social service agency serving seniors at least 60 years of age in the City of Pittsburgh; and,
 
WHEREAS, Elder-Ado has served seniors in Pittsburgh for the last 25 years; and,
 
WHEREAS, Elder-Ado has three locations in the Hilltop neighborhoods of Carrick, Beltzhoover, and Knoxville; and,
 
WHEREAS, Elder-Ado provides vital services including Income Tax preparation, legal services, daily meals both on site and in home, homemaking and personal care for home bound seniors, registration and access to public transit, recreational activities such as computer classes, arts and crafts, and fitness programs, and much more; and,
 
WHEREAS, Such a committed and valuable asset in our community could not function without dedicated volunteers; and,
 
WHEREAS, Elder-Ado's volunteers have proven to be committed and valuable members of our community, and their work is vital to keeping our senior population healthy and happy; and,
