WHEREAS, St. Rosalia of the Pittsburgh's neighborhood of Greenfield had a very successful season in the highly competitive Pittsburgh Diocesan Basketball League; and,
WHEREAS, they performed to the best of their abilities, and in doing so, had fun, learned valuable lessons in sportsmanship and worked as a team for the common good, while representing the St. Rosalia's Parish of the Diocese of Pittsburgh; and,
WHEREAS, on Sunday, March 21, 2010, the following seniors of the St. Rosalia team will be commended for their efforts and commitment to the team:

WHEREAS, the team was ably lead by head coach Rob Pugh and Assistant Coaches Pat Welsh and Nick Cenneme who selflessly gave of themselves to the betterment of the young people of Greenfield.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend St. Rosalia's CYM Basketball Team on a great season and a job well done;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Sunday, March 21, 2010, to be "St. Rosalia's CYM Basketball Team Day" here in the City of Pittsburgh.
