Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor and the Director of Public Safety on behalf of the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, are hereby authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement with the DOJ for the receipt of grant monies in the amount of one million, nine hundred fourteen thousand, three hundred and sixteen dollars ($1,914,316.00).  These funds will be used to support the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police with purchasing equipment and services to better address crime and enhance law enforcement capabilities.  The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the Stimulus Trust Fund: account 450500, fund 2950, organization code 230000, project ST10003, budget year 2010, Department of Public Safety - Bureau of Police.
 
Section 2.      The Mayor and the Director of Public Safety, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, are hereby further authorized to enter into agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, and to make all legitimate expenditures required under the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement with the DOJ as outlined in Section 1 of this resolution. Said agreement(s), contract(s), or expenditures shall not exceed one million, nine hundred fourteen thousand, three hundred and sixteen dollars ($1,914,316.00).  These funds will be used to support the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police with purchasing equipment and services to better address crime and enhance law enforcement capabilities.  The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the Stimulus Trust Fund: account 450500, fund 2950, organization code 230000, project ST10003, budget year 2010, Department of Public Safety - Bureau of Police.
