Title: Now, Therefore, be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and congratulate The Center for Urban Biblical Ministries for its dedication to excellence and for its endless contribution to the City of Pittsburgh; and Be It Further Resolved, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does herby proclaim Friday, January 22, 2010, as "Center for Urban Biblical Ministries Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

Whereas, the Center for Urban Biblical Ministry (CUBM) is to educate urban students in southwestern Pennsylvania for effective service in their local communities. CUBM provides accredited Bible-based degree programs granted by Geneva College and other learning experiences in a Christian community where deep relationships with others of diverse backgrounds are encouraged; and
Whereas,  for the year 2010, CUBM is holding a kickoff breakfast on Friday, January 22nd. The speaker for this special event will be Priscilla Ortlip, MSW, LCSW, ACS, who serves as director of counseling ministries at Allegheny Center Alliance Church (ACAC) on the North Side and founder of the Christian Counselors Collaborative.
