Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into a Temporary License and Cooperation Agreement with The Lawrenceville Corporation to permit the City's Department of Public Works to provide technical and other collaborative assistance for the development of a community tree park.  
 
Body
WHEREAS, LC is the owner of a parcel of real estate located at 5104 Keystone Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15201 (the "Property"), and
 
WHEREAS, LC has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forest ("FPUF") and Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forest Lawrenceville Tree Tenders ("FPUFLVTT") to undertake the development of a community tree park (the "Park") at the Property to be open to the public for a period of no less than five (5) years; and
 
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the development of the Park, LC has requested that the City's Department of Public Works Construction Division and Green Team offer technical and other collaborative assistance; and
 
WHEREAS, the development of the community tree park fits within the mission of the Green Up Pittsburgh Program and will serve as a learning tool for future City-owned Green-Up Site; and
 
WHEREAS, for the benefit and enjoyment of the public, the City has agreed to provide the requested assistance for the benefit of the public; and
 
WHEREAS, the parties now wish to set forth their joint understanding of the duties and responsibilities relating to the development of this Park.  
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works are hereby authorized to enter into a Temporary License and Cooperation Agreement with The Lawrenceville Corporation to assist with the development of a community tree park.  The Temporary License and Cooperation Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor.
