Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Corporation to complete signal retiming along various corridors in the City of Pittsburgh.  
 
Body
WHEREAS; Southwestern Pennsylvania Corporation, a metropolitan planning organization, has secured federal monies to reduce congestion by way of signal retiming efforts;
 
WHEREAS; the City now seeks to enter into a professional services Agreement with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Corporation to evaluate and implement new signal timings for four congested corridors in the City of Pittsburgh.
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1.      The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works are hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Corporation to evaluate and implement new signal timings for East Carson Street from the Birmingham Bridge to 10th Street, Liberty Avenue from the Bloomfield Bridge to Aspen Street, Liberty Avenue from 16th Street to 31st Street, and the Boulevard of the Allies from Craft Avenue to Dawson Street.
