Title: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh congratulates Claire O'Leary on her 80th birthday and commends her for her years of dedication to her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and the City of Pittsburgh; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh proclaims that Sunday, November 15th, 2009 be hereby declared as “Claire O'Leary Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Claire O'Leary will be 80 years old on November 15th, 2009; and
 
WHEREAS, Claire is a life long resident of the City of Pittsburgh, born in East Liberty and living in Beechview for 51 years raising 6 children and 9 grandchildren; and  
 
WHEREAS, Mrs. O'Leary has been a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena for 51Years, volunteering at various Church functions such as the Festivals over the years; and
 
WHEREAS, Claire has worked at the Election Polls over the years putting in long days promoting the cause of democracy; and
 
WHEREAS, Claire retired from the former Kaufmann's Department Store in downtown Pittsburgh as a consultant in the Bridal Registry;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh congratulates Claire O'Leary on her 80th birthday and commends her for her years of dedication to her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and the City of Pittsburgh; and
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh proclaims that Sunday, November 15th, 2009 be hereby declared as "Claire O'Leary Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
