Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Sean Michael Angelo for his leadership and hard work and congratulates Sean on earning the Eagle Scout Award through his remarkable and noteworthy project.

WHEREAS, the mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law so that they can become responsible, participating citizens ; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout designation for the Boy Scouts of America is the highest advancement in Scouting and one in which a Boy Scout must fulfill requirements in the areas of leadership, service and outdoor skills ; and,
WHEREAS,  to advance to the Eagle Scout rank, a Boy Scout must pass specific tests that are organized by requirements and merit badges, signifying mastery of skills of personal interest in 21 of the 120 available merit badges ; and,
 
WHEREAS, Sean Michael Angelo of Troop 1111, Steel City District, Lincoln Place, having completed all requirements and having been examined by an Eagle Scout Board of Review, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on November 1, 2009, at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to fulfilling 36 Merit Badge achievements, Sean Angelo designed habitats for the indigenous wildlife at the Community College of Allegheny County, thereby enhancing their South Campus Nature Trail. He worked closely with the Nature Trail Administrator, his fellow scouts, family and friends. Sean is 18 years old, a graduate of West Mifflin Area High School and a student at Rosedale Technical Institute studying diesel mechanics; and,
