Resolution Amending Resolution # 285, effective May 12th, 2009 entitled: Resolution authorizing the Department of City Planning to enter into an agreement or agreements or contract or contracts to implement a comprehensive Web-based Permitting System for the residents of the City of Pittsburgh and providing for the payment of the cost thereof, not to exceed One Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,300,000.00): so as to add other vendors, consultants, and/or contractors for work on the web-based permitting system.

Body
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements, in form approved by the City Solicitor, with Accela, Inc. and other vendors, consultants, and/or contractors for work on the web-based permitting system, for the transformation of day-to-day permitting and business licensing operations by implementing a comprehensive Web-based Permitting System including, but not limited to, hardware, software, consulting, data conversion, maintenance, and any other associated costs. A single database will be used by multiple personnel within a single department and across multiple departments and agencies to increase 2-way accountability and responsiveness. Said agreement or agreements shall not exceed One Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,300,000.00) over multiple years, chargeable to and payable from the chart accounts listed in Section 2.

Section 2. The City Controller shall encumber funds for the comprehensive Web-based Permitting System, subject to the amount of funds to be appropriated by City Council in respective budget years from the following chart accounts:
