Title
Resolution authorizing a Cooperation Agreement with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh designating URA as the City's agent for implementation of a federal Economic Development Initiative - Special Projects Grant in the amount of $196,000 for the South Side Works project.  (Council District 3)
 
Body
Whereas, the City of Pittsburgh intends to apply to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") for an Economic Development Initiative (EDI) - Special Project Grant of $196,000 for the South Side Works project (the "Project"); and
 
Whereas, the City desires to designate the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") as its agent to implement the Project and to receive funds directly from HUD if a grant is awarded;
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a South Side Works EDI Cooperation Agreement with URA, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, designating URA as the City's agent for implementation of the Project, requiring compliance by URA with federal program requirements and providing for the disbursement of Program funds to URA from the following account:
