Title: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh recognizes this outstanding young man, Robert Papale of Troop 6 and commends him for his commitment to the betterment of his community and his great personal achievement.

WHEREAS, upon joining Boy Scout Troop 6, Robert Papale served as Troop Guide, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader; and  
 
WHEREAS, Robert has won trophies and awards in Allegheny County chess tournaments, was the Carnegie Library Branch Chess Tournament Champion, is a groundskeeper and laborer for St. Pius X Parish in Carrick, and is an employee at Dicks Sporting Goods; and
 
WHEREAS, in addition to scouting activities, Robert was a honor roll student at Seton-La Salle High School, supported the Special Olympics at the Pioneer School, was a teammate on the Pennsylvania state champions soccer team, and was a member for the March for Life; and
 
WHEREAS, Robert Papale is a freshman business major at Robert Morris University; and
 
WHEREAS, to complete the requirements of Eagle Scout, the Boy Scouts of America's highest honor, Robert's Eagle Scout Project consisted of coordinating the planning, designing and landscaping of the entrance of The People Concerned for the Unborn Child.
