Title
Resolution providing for the submission of a $40,000 Land Use Planning and Technical Assistance Program (LUPTAP) grant application to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for the development of the Cultural Heritage component to the City's Comprehensive Master Plan.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh, through the Department of City Planning, desires to undertake a Comprehensive Cultural Heritage Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to receive from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) a grant for the purpose of carrying out this project through DCED's Land Use Planning and Technical Assistance Program (LUPTAP); and
WHEREAS, the City understands that the contents of the document entitled "Terms and Conditions of Grant", including the document entitled "Signature Page for Grant Agreement" and appendices referred to therein, will become the terms and conditions of a Grant Agreement between the City and DCED if the City is awarded a grant;
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Mayor or the Director of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to submit a Land Use Planning and Technical Assistance Program (LUPTAP) grant application to and execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) in order to create a Cultural Heritage Plan for the City.
 
Section 2.  If the City is awarded a grant, the Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh may enter into a grant agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).
 
Section 3.  The Mayor and/or the Director of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreements with consultants under the terms of the agreement between the City and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).
