WHEREAS, St. Rosalia Church and School in the Greenfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh is a strong and proud parish who sponsors a basketball team in the CYM League; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Rosalia Basketball Team , under the leadership of Head Coach Ron Pugh and Assistant Coach Pat Welsh, performed well, learned much and had fun while representing St. Rosalia's in the CYM League ; and,
WHEREAS, the members of the St. Rosalia Basketball Team worked hard and demonstrated a strong work ethic and team dedication; and,
WHEREAS, on Sunday, April 5, 2009, the team's seniors will be honored and special recognition will be given to Jamie Pittman ; and,
WHEREAS, Jamie Pittman will be honored for 4 years of dedication to his team, outstanding sportsmanship and for being a consummate team player ; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Head Coach Rob Pugh, Assistant Coach Pat Welsh for their leadership, commends the St. Rosalia Basketball Team for a strong year and congratulates Jamie Pittman for his dedication and commitment.
